Anticipation Gift- Advent  23

Waiting with excitement.

And wonderment of the

possibilities.

Mary knew something supernatural 

was in the works.

Her life would never be the same.

Would she have waited with such anticipation

 if she knew the sad ending of the story?

 Her time in the world would be such a small piece 

of what we know now.

"The Lord himself will give you a sign. 

Look, the young woman

 is with child and shall bear a son

 and shall name him Immanuel."

 Isaiah 7:14

When we are surrounded by loving

 and supportive family and friends, 

it is often easier to look

 to the future with anticipation.

When we find ourselves alone, 

or feelings of loneliness surround us-

 even when there are  people nearby,

the future may seem almost painful.

Lord, we ask you to be with us in 

our anticipation- that it may be a 

blessing  no matter our circumstances.
