In the midst of Fall

In the midst of fall

It seems like sometimes things don't go by the calendar and just have to slip in an unexpected spot or two that dazzles you and makes you step up and notice.  The passion flower vine in our back yard is struggling because it likes hot and humid and cool and rainy has been the norm here lately.  But that doesn't stop this valiant glimpse of what can be remembered of the last warm days of the year.  Once in awhile we need to be reminded of who is worthy of glory.  An online Bible study I am doing right now reminds us,
But, You, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head." Psalm 3: 3.  Just as this flower head is shield-like and raises it head in the fall of days, its glory reminds us of the Creator.  Always a wonderful thing to ponder as we hustle about in our daily lives---  who gets the glory.
